The habit of not respecting time is a concern in our society. What is the impact of the habit of not respecting time on society? For you, what kinds of factors are important to form the habit of respecting time?
Topic statement: Being late is a bad habit and it causes a lot of troubles for Cambodian society.
Respecting time is an essential part of living that can help ensure success in one’s
personal life, academic life, or in the workplace. Especially, in this modern era, respecting time
is a crucial requirement for all human beings. Everything starts with self-discipline, and if one
cannot respect time then he/she cannot lead a successful, productive, or honorable life. Still,
there are many people in our society who are reckless about respecting time. This may be a result
of not placing value on punctuality. For instance, Khmer people often come late to weddings. All
people, not only Cambodians, need to understand that punctuality plays a prominent part in
forming good human behavior. There is an idiom saying, “Time is money” (The Free
Dictionary). This idiom means that time is extremely valuable, so we should use it wisely and
not let it pass idly. The habit of not respecting time is a broad topic, so in this essay, I would like
to narrow it down to “being late”. Being late is considered a bad habit and it has long been a
concern in our society. In this essay, I would like to discuss the negative effects of the habit of
being late on society and the factors that I use to ensure that I will not be late in my personal and
academic life.
What could youths do to stop corruption in Cambodia?

Cambodia, my country is ripe with corruption. Based on my experience here, I encounter corruption almost everyday. According to Transparency International, Cambodia was the most corrupted country in ASEAN (2014). There is no exact definition of corruption, but Oxford Dictionary defines “Corruption” as dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery (Online Oxford Dictionaries). Corruption affects millions of lives in Cambodia as well as in many other countries. For instance, I could not get a good high school education due to graft. My teachers did not teach me thoroughly during their official class hours. They asked me to enroll in their special courses if I want further improvement to my scores and grade. Without the possibility to enroll me in special classes, I ended-up faring badly at my high school education. As one of Cambodian youths, people between 14 and 30 years old as defined by Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia, I would like to express my opinion on what young Cambodians could do to quell graft in Cambodia.
